FOR EVERY GIRL: Caring, Committed Adult Mentors ADULT VOLUNTEERS Girl Scout program is rooted in partnership between caring adults and girls. For some volunteers, that guidance may be given through working directly with girls throughout the year. For others, it may be to lend expertise for a specific short-term project or event.
In Girl Scouts, we realize that today's busy adults may not be able to make long-term volunteer commitments. That is why we offer flexible options to anyone interested in the development of young girls. Listed below are just a few of the many volunteer positions available in Girl Scouts. Whether it's once a week, once a month, or once a year, your efforts make a difference in the lives of girls. Girl Scout volunteers are positive ROLE MODELS in their communities. Partnering with adult mentors, the Girl Scout experience empowers girls and women to find their voices, take action and make the world a better place.
SUPER DADS are an important part of the Girl Scout Council of Middle Mississippi. These men may be fathers, grandfathers, uncles, cousins, older brothers, or any male friend at least 18 years of age registered with a Girl Scout troop/group.
Super Dads give valuable help and support to a troop/group. They may teach an outdoor skill or hobby, assist with camping and field trips, or plan special events, just to name a few ways. Super Dads register as troop/group committee members when they pay their $10.00 national dues.
