FOR EVERY GIRL: An Accepting and Nurturing Environment
Camping is one of the most remarkable experiences a girl can have. It's more than just roasting marshmallows over an open fire or hiking through the woods. It provides a sense of adventure and fun, while teaching girls about working together toward common goals.
The Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi owns 156 wooded acres 6.3 miles east of Brandon, Mississippi, Camp Wahi; 339 wooded acres eight miles north of Wiggins, MS, Camp Iti Kana; and 165 acres in Lauderdale County, 7 miles southeast of Meridian in Causeyville. Some of the facilities include:
WAYS TO ENJOY ITA KANA, MERIDALE AND WAHI
Service Unit Camping gives troops the opportunity to share outdoor fun with other troops in their area. Girls make new friends and learn new skills.
